Artist Line-up
Santrofi (Ghana)
Santrofi is an internationally touring 8-piece Ghanaian band whose music is driven by a desire to celebrate classic highlife music in all of its varied variants and assimilated styles, ranging from Afro-Cuban and calypso strains to funky soul workouts and the Nigerian influences of Afro-beat and juju grooves, expertly executed with the requisite rippling guitars, tight horn section, driving percussion and fine harmony vocals.
Vitali Maembe (Tanzania)
Vitali Maembe is a well-known Tanzanian musician, guitarist, and singer-songwriter who is known for his original music that is both universal and uniquely Tanzanian. His music incorporates inland and coastal rhythms as well as poetic lyrics. He also employs music and dance as a form of therapy and palliative care. At the end of the day, he believes that music, like other art forms, is first and foremost intended to be enjoyed.
Gonder Fasiledes (Ethiopia)
Gonder Fasiledes is a 36-member cultural troupe from the Amhara region in Ethiopia. The group has performed at a number of cultural music festivals throughout the country. In 2019, the group travelled to Sudan to perform for over 30,000 Sudanese and Ethiopians.
