Selam, through the Connect for Culture Africa (CfCA) initiative, invites applications for the Music Business Accelerator, an interactive e-learning course designed to equip young professionals with the skills, knowledge, and networks needed to succeed in Africa’s growing music industry.
About the Course
The Music Business Accelerator will provide participants with practical insights into the music business ecosystem, with a focus on three foundational pillars: Publishing, Recorded Music, and the Live Sector. Additional training in marketing, communication, and storytelling will help participants strengthen their brand identity and positioning in the global market.
This course is part of CfCA’s broader mission to strengthen cultural and creative industries across Africa and advocate for increased public investment in arts, culture, and heritage.

Duration: 24th October – 28th November 2025
Final Pitch: 5th December 2025
Format: Online (via Zoom)
6 Modules (90–120 minutes each), including a final pitch presentation
Expert-led lectures, case studies, Q&A, and interactive group work

Certificate of Completion awarded to participants who successfully complete the course

Who Can Apply?
- Young professionals aged 21–35 from CfCA partner countries: Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
- Individuals with at least 5 years of experience in the music industry
- Applicants must present a clear business idea or concept to develop during the course
- Commitment to Pan-African collaboration and sustainable cultural development
- Gender balance will be ensured in participant selection
